Refunds and rewrites

On a first job you pay nothing until you approve it, so there is nothing to claim back. If the copy isn’t right after two rounds of changes, you don’t approve it and you owe nothing. No case to argue, no refund to chase.

Money only comes back on work you paid for before it started. Section 1 has the rules for every route; section 2 has each route’s prices and the one or two things that apply only to it.

1. The rules on every route

Who can pay after approving. Paying after you approve is open to any organisation with a live website and an email address on its own domain, once per organisation. You don’t need to be a limited company. Sole traders are welcome when they get in touch with me first.

When the clock starts. The clock starts when I confirm in writing that your brief is complete. Until then, a start date is only a booking.

What approving means. Approving means writing “approved” about a named version, or using any of the copy: publishing it, sending it or printing it. Forwarding it for comment never counts, and neither does silence.

Every document carries one of three labels: Draft (the first version, with open questions marked), Facts confirmed (every “to confirm” answered) and Approved (the final version you approved).

A round of changes and a rewrite are different things. A round of changes is your written notes on a version before you approve it; I make them and send the next version. Every first job includes two rounds of written changes. Every later job includes one. A rewrite is the remedy on work you paid for in advance, once it has started (see Refunds below).

If you don’t approve. If you don’t approve it after two rounds of changes, you owe nothing and the copy can’t be used. You have 15 UK working days from the last version to decide. I remind you on day 5 and day 10. Silence never counts as approval, so if the 15 days pass with no reply, nothing is invoiced.

Published by mistake. If copy goes live by mistake and comes down within 5 UK working days, I cancel the invoice.

Paying. On a first job, the invoice comes when you approve and is due in 7 days. With a purchase order, it can be up to 30 days. Later work is paid in advance. A project in stages (a full site, a rebuild or a renewal season) is invoiced stage by stage, each invoice when you approve that stage.

Refunds. Work paid in advance and not yet started is refunded in full. Once work has started, you get one rewrite within the agreed scope. The rewrite is the last step: it is one rewrite, and it does not turn into money back.

2. Route by route

Each card shows what the first job costs, what comes after it, and anything that applies only to that route. Everything else is in section 1.

Studio pages and sites

First job

The Copy-Ready Page: USD 350 {GBP 270 | EUR 315} for one page, invoiced when you approve it. Or page one of a site.

A full site

The site price, USD 1,950 {GBP 1,500 | EUR 1,750}, buys five pages and three launch emails, split into two invoices. Site invoice one, when you approve page one: USD 975 {GBP 750 | EUR 875}, which covers page one and pages two and three. Site invoice two, when you approve pages two and three: USD 975 {GBP 750 | EUR 875}, which covers pages four and five and the three launch emails. The two invoices add up to the site price, USD 1,950 {GBP 1,500 | EUR 1,750}. Page one is included in it, never charged on top.

Stopping after page one

You choose when you approve page one. You can stop after approving page one and pay only the single-page price, USD 350 {GBP 270 | EUR 315}. If you continue, the site invoices apply.

Your client sends it back

I work white-label, so the rewrite goes through you. I never contact your client. If your client sends the page back within 30 days of your approval, with written reasons, I rewrite it once.

Cover the Seat

First job

The first piece: USD 595 {GBP 450 | EUR 525}, invoiced when you approve it.

The block

4 pieces over one 4-week cycle, USD 1,950 {GBP 1,500 | EUR 1,750}, paid in advance. The block starts on the first UK working day after your payment arrives. Before then, the refund rule in section 1 applies. Once it starts, it runs to its end, and one unused piece can carry over to the next cycle, once.

Booking the block early

If you book the block within 14 days of approving your first piece, that piece becomes piece one of the block. Block total USD 1,950 {GBP 1,500 | EUR 1,750} for 4 pieces, which includes the first piece you already paid. You pay the rest, USD 1,355 {GBP 1,050 | EUR 1,225}, for the other three.

The X-Ray and the rebuild

First job

The X-Ray: USD 295 {GBP 225 | EUR 265} for the ranked changes to your ad and page, invoiced when you approve it.

The rebuild

Rebuild total USD 1,250 {GBP 965 | EUR 1,095}, which includes the X-Ray you already paid. You pay the rest, USD 955 {GBP 740 | EUR 830}, in two parts: USD 480 {GBP 375 | EUR 415} when you approve the top of the page, and USD 475 {GBP 365 | EUR 415} when you approve the whole page. The first part covers the top of the page (hero, method, offer stack); the second covers the rest of the page. The X-Ray is never charged twice.

Association renewals

First job

The renewal letter: USD 249 {GBP 199 | EUR 229}, invoiced when you approve it. Purchase orders are welcome.

The season series

Season total USD 1,290 {GBP 990 | EUR 1,150}, which includes the letter you already paid. You pay the rest, USD 1,041 {GBP 791 | EUR 921}, when you approve the other seven pieces.

Time for your board

Your board can take up to 45 days from the final draft to decide. If it meets later than that, we fix the meeting date when we start and your deadline moves to match. On this route, that deadline to decide replaces the 15 UK working days in section 1.

Renewal notice packs (GBP only)

First job

The Pack. GBP 495 for packs that start before 1 December 2026, GBP 595 from 1 December 2026. A pack starts when I confirm its brief is complete. You approve the Pack before you pay for it. Save Flow is a separate job after that.

Your solicitor’s changes

For 60 days after you approve, I make the changes your solicitor asks for at no extra cost.

The regulations update

When the detailed subscription regulations are published, I update the pack once, included in the price. If they are not published within 6 months of your approval, that update commitment ends.

After the Pack

Save Flow is the pause, skip and swap wording beside your cancel button, never in front of it. It is offered by email, with its own invoice.

Who

The Desk opens only after your first job is approved and paid.

A cycle

4 pages over 4 weeks, USD 1,200 {GBP 925 | EUR 1,075}, paid in advance. Each cycle starts on the first UK working day after your payment arrives, not on the invoice date. Before then, the refund rule in section 1 applies.

Cancelling

To cancel, tell me at least 7 days before your next cycle starts. The cycle that is running goes on to its end.

Unused pieces

One unused piece can carry over to the next cycle, once.

3. Delays and cancelling

Before you approve a first job, you can stop at any time with one line, and you owe nothing.

If I can’t meet a date I confirmed, I tell you at once and offer a new date. If it doesn’t suit you, you can walk away. On a first job nothing is owed; on work you paid for in advance, the refund rule applies.

If the complete brief doesn’t arrive within 14 days of your booked start date, the place is released and you can book again later. Work you paid for in advance hasn’t started in that case, so it comes back in full.

4. What I don’t refund

I stand behind the work, never behind results such as sales, renewals, leads or legal outcomes.

Work you have approved is yours to publish, so it is not refunded. On prepaid work that has started, the remedy is the rewrite, not money back.

5. How to claim, and how the money comes back

Email marcell@marcellmozes.com with your invoice number, the route, what’s wrong and, for a studio rewrite, your client’s reasons in writing. Where a route has a time limit, it is in its card: 30 days from your approval for a studio client rewrite, 60 days for your solicitor’s changes on a renewal pack.
